Heritage Festival – Open Day at The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse Theatre
Come and explore The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse Theatre on Sunday 20th September 2026 – 11am – 5pm.
There are Tours of the Theatre, Old Films which were created at The Playhouse and the old film studios. The cafe and bar will be open throughout for sweet treats and drinks (Hot, Cold, Alcoholic) all of which raise funds for the up-keep of the theatre.
In the Car Park there will be stalls from local small businesses – including: The Playhouse itself, Walton & Weybridge Amateur Operatic Society, Sunbury & Walton Sea Cadets, Cassies Preserves, Stephanie Cotela, Serracee Jewellery, Care in Walton & Hersham, Wild about Faces (funded by Love Walton) and Walton Greening.
Love Walton has organised for FREE Face-painting and Tattoos between 1-4pm from the team at Wild About Faces!

Run independently as a charity, the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, is always looking for new organisations to perform, hire and support them.
Venue
The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse is a performing arts venue for hire in Walton on Thames town centre, ideal for theatre, dance, comedy and musical productions.
Facilities include a sound and lighting systems, orchestra pit, scene dock, dressing rooms, and a spacious bar area. The raked seating can be deployed for your audience, or retracted to reveal a large space for rehearsals, choirs, dance, fitness classes, quiz nights, private parties, other commercial or community events.
There is step-free access for the audience or event attendees to the auditorium, foyer, bar and accessible WC facilities.
