Festival of Light – Christmas Stall Applications

We are delighted to confirm our Christmas Market will return for November 2026, and we welcome stall applications.

We will review applications on a first come basis and we will not duplicate like for like products, to ensure variety for attendees and to protect the investment of you as small businesses to maximise your success on the day.

The STANDARD space, as priced in the form below, is for a 3m x 3m gazebo. No overspill into safety areas or walkways is permitted.

If you require a larger pitch space please confirm in your application and we will confirm pricing to you when confirming your place is successful.

It is your responsibility to provide weights to secure your gazebo, all tables, chairs, display shelving items. It is wise to consider battery powered lighting for your stall, not just to give it a festive feel, but practicality when it becomes dusk/dark.

Walton BID Ltd does not provide any power for stalls, IF you require generators, you will need to source them and ensure they are the most quiet / eco-friendly available. Please notify us on your application if you will be bringing generators/power as it will define where on the street plan you would be placed.

The event is open to the public from 11am – 7pm, with set-up from 09.30am, and closure 7-8.30pm. There will be a short lull in the market between 17.30 – 6pm for the lantern parade, All stalls must remain open, staffed, and active for the entire duration of published market hours. Late opening or early packing up is strictly prohibited without prior organizer approval.

Stalls must maintain a clean, festive, and professional appearance aligned with the market’s aesthetic. All rubbish is the responsibility of the stall holder to keep safe, secure during the day and remove (take away with you) from the venue at the end of the day.

You must provide a copy of your Public Liability Insurance documents at the time of applying for a stall. The minimum accepted by Elmbridge Borough Council (authority to approve the event market / safety) is £5 million. If you have an insurance lesser than this amount please contact the organiser – Walton BID Ltd on email: events@waltonbid.co.uk.

If your application is successful, all stallholders must submit a risk assessment / overview document covering their setup, products, and equipment prior to the event to Walton BID Ltd. We can assist with a template if required.
