Welcome back to your Local Lowdown.

We hope you enjoyed this year’s Great Walton Duckathon — and a big congratulations to Elmbridge Eco Hub for winning the Best Dressed Corporate Duck, along with all of this year’s brilliant runners-up.

This month, we’re especially excited for Make Music Day on Saturday the 21st. The Heart Plaza will come alive with fantastic local musicians performing from 11am to 5pm, with deckchair seating, a craft stall for kids — the perfect excuse to relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy one of the local cafes or restaurants.

The Elmbridge Literary Festival is on from 30th May until the 7th June, with events taking place across The Playhouse and Riverhouse Barn. There’s plenty to discover — so check their websites for full details.

On the 20th, Legends of Swing comes to the Bowling Club, and there are lots of other regular events happening across town too, including quiz nights, clubs and other activities.
