The Walton Mural Project

In winter 2026 Walton BID worked with Surrey County Council and Elmbridge Borough Council to undertake a Mural Project, for the long wall on Hepworth Way which is part of The Heart Shopping Centre land. After a tender process Artist & Illustrator Nathan Evans was selected for the commission. Nathan embarked on a wide ranging community engagement consultation and Walton BID asked specific questions for residents to complete an online form, highlighting what elements of History & Nature are important to them.

The outcome is the mural see in situ, which has Nathan’s own personal touches and style to bring the elements captured to life.
