Script
Welcome back to your Local Lowdown — here’s what’s happening in Walton this February.
At The Playhouse this month, there’s something for theatre lovers of all ages. Beauty and the Beast brings a classic story to the stage, while La Vie Parisienne, Offenbach’s vibrant and playful musical comedy, adds a splash of Parisian sparkle to the programme.
Music and community come together with the Riverhouse Barn Choir, meeting every Tuesday.
For sports fans, February is a busy one. Walton & Hersham FC have home games on the 7th, 21st and 28th, so get down to the ground and support them. Rugby fans won’t want to miss the start of the Six Nations on the 5th of February, with matches being shown at The Bear, The George Inn, The Regent, The Walton Village and The Swan. You can find the full fixtures list on our What’s On page.
There’s lots happening for families and younger visitors too. Join us for Circus FUN at our February Kids Club Workshop on Friday the 20th! With our Eco Friendly craft activity, attendees will have all the fun of the fair!
There are interactive storytelling performances on Saturday the 7th at the library, the Echoes of War Exhibition at the Civic Centre, gymnastics sessions at Gymfinity, and keep an eye on our What’s On page for more activities.
Quiz fans can test their knowledge at the Rentstart Quiz on the 27th — a great way to round off the month with friends and a bit of friendly competition.
Over on the blog, don’t miss our latest business feature on Maria Lonergan Counselling. And, keep an eye out for our National Pizza Day article as we celebrate the many places you can enjoy a great slice right here in Walton.
