Celebrate International Dog Day in Walton – With a Paw-some Giveaway!
International Dog Day is coming up on Monday 26th August 2025 – a day dedicated to celebrating our four-legged friends and recognising the important role dogs play in our lives, from loyal companions and family pets to working dogs and therapy animals.
Here in Walton-on-Thames, we’re proud to be a dog-friendly town. From cafés that welcome wagging tails to shops with water bowls outside, many of our local businesses go the extra mile to include your pup in the experience.
Win a Limited Edition Love Walton Dog Bowl
To mark the occasion, we’re giving away our exclusive Love Walton dog bowls. Whether you’ve got a cheeky Chihuahua, a bouncing Beagle or a pampered Poodle, we’d love to see your pooch.
Here’s how to enter:
- Take a photo of your dog – striking a pose, out in Walton-on-Thames, or just being their adorable self.
- Tag us on Instagram @welovewalton or Facebook using #LoveWaltonDogs.
- Entries close at midnight on Sunday 31st August. (Note that winners must pick up the dog bowl in person, but we welcome visitors to Walton to enter as well as residents).
Lucky winners will receive a limited edition Love Walton dog bowl, which can be collected from one of our local businesses (we will notify the winners which business we have passed the bowls on to) on or after International Dog Day until 6th September 2025.

Why We Celebrate International Dog Day
Founded in 2004, International Dog Day promotes adoption and celebrates all breeds, encouraging responsible ownership and reminding us to protect and care for dogs across the world. It’s also a great excuse to treat your pup (and yourself) to something special.
So whether you’re heading out for a coffee, doing some local shopping, or visiting the riverside, bring your furry best friend along and show your support for our dog-loving community.
