Local Lowdown – June 2025

Transcript

Hello and welcome to the June Local Lowdown – your monthly scoop on what’s going on in Walton.

First up – get ready for one of Walton’s loved summer traditions… the Walton & Weybridge Regatta is back on Saturday 7th June! Head down to the river to cheer on the rowers as they race from Walton Marina to Miskins Wharf. There’ll be a refreshments tent, maybe even an ice cream van or two – it’s always a fantastic day out by the water.

Also on the 7th – Omni Academy is opening its doors for its annual open day from 11am to 3pm. It’s your chance to tour the academy, discover the courses they offer – and get exclusive discounts on bookings made that day. You can register online or drop them an email to secure your place.

Then on Saturday the 21st – Elvis is in the building!

Join Lee Alexander – an award-winning Elvis tribute artist – for a fantastic evening at the Bowling Club. Tickets are just £13 and the booking link is on our events page.

On the blog, we’ve been catching up with some fantastic locals. Including articles featuring Le Petit Café and Union Hair.

We would like to say a huge congrats to Crafty Pots Café – they’re celebrating one year in Walton on 11th June.
AND they just scooped the Muddy Stilettos Surrey Award for Best Family Experience! Look out for our article on the blog.

We’re also excited to welcome 99 Bikes to Walton – be sure to pop in and check them out.

And don’t forget – our What’s On page is packed with even more events happening across Walton this month, so there’s plenty to explore!

That’s all for now – we’ll be back next month. But until then, enjoy the sunshine and explore your high street!
