Rianna has been part of the Walton community for many years, having worked at the academy for many years before taking over. She still loves everything the town has to offer.
“Walton has a lovely feel to it. The town centre isn’t too large, and the Bridge Street area has a village-like charm, especially in the summer with its social atmosphere of pubs and restaurants,” she explains. “It offers a great variety of independent and chain shops, restaurants, cafés, and pubs, and being close to the river, there’s always a scenic walk nearby. Plus, the transport links make it easy to travel in and out.It’s lovely for our students to have all of these options to enjoy during breaks and before and after lessons.”
When Rianna has a few hours to spare, she enjoys the natural beauty of the area. “A walk along the river is always a treat” she says. For a more relaxed atmosphere, the marina is her favourite spot for coffee, because it’s so calm, especially on a sunny morning—when it feels almost continental. She recommends this as a spot for new visitors to Walton, along with a visit to Cappadocia restaurant for a lovely meal out. For dining out, Rianna agrees with us that there are so many wonderful places to eat in Walton, but a few of her favourites include: Sushi Wakyo, Babucci, and Khao Sarn Thai restaurant on Bridge Street. She also loves the food at the Persian Kitchen and the Surrey Coffee Company for a good coffee and nice breakfast!
