Meet the Business: Paint on Sunday

If you’ve recently strolled down the high street on a Sunday you might have encountered a new face in town—Laura Harris, the creative force behind Paint on Sunday. This exciting new venture offers beginner-friendly art classes at The Walton Village. In this edition of Meet the Business, we chat with Laura to learn more about her move to Walton, what she loves about the town, and how her business is adding a splash of creativity to the community.

Embracing Walton: A New Chapter

Laura, a recent arrival to Walton, has been enjoying the local vibe for about six months. “I love the variety of shops, pubs, restaurants, and other facilities here” she says. “The friendliness of all the local businesses is heartwarming, and having easy access to the river is amazing.” Laura’s enthusiasm for Walton is evident, and she’s already found some favourite spots to unwind:

I love the Bear pub and the Walton Village for drinks and food. The Swan is also a great spot by the river. Babucci is a personal favourite for restaurants. I can often also be found popping into Cacao Route for a banana or strawberry milkshake!

“When I have a bit of free time, I love to pop to the library, grab a cool drink from one of the local pubs, and take a stroll to the river,” she adds. For those new to Walton, Laura recommends a walk along the river and a trip down the high street. “The Sunday roast at *The Bear* pub is fantastic, and if you’re into vintage finds, *Mandy’s Emporium* in the Heart shopping centre is a must-visit. So many hidden gems!”

Paint on Sunday: Creativity for Everyone

Laura started *Paint on Sunday* as a passion project, previously running classes in London’s bustling pub scene. Now, she’s brought that same energy and creativity to Walton, offering her classes at *The Walton Village*. “Moving to Walton felt like a fresh start,” Laura explains. “Walton is a great town with so many wonderful people and amenities, and everything is within walking distance of the river.”

*Paint on Sunday* stands out for its fun and friendly approach to art, making creativity accessible to everyone. “What makes us different is that our classes are designed for beginners of all ages,” says Laura. “We keep it relaxed, making sure everyone can create something they’re proud of to take home.

Everyone can do art and make something creative to take home!

Whether you’re an aspiring artist or someone looking for a fun Sunday activity, *Paint on Sunday* has something for everyone. Laura’s warm, welcoming personality and her passion for helping people tap into their creativity make this business one that Walton is lucky to have.
